Lymington to Keyhaven Nature Reserve

Coastal Walk
The footpath along the coast is the
Solent Way which starts at Milford on Sea. The distance from Keyhaven to where the Lymington Yacht Clubs are, is 4.9 miles and will take about 2hrs to walk. The coastal path is a permissible cycle route.

Circular Walks
See a selection of circular routes on the map. Most of the footpaths are wide and flat with a gravel surface. The only gradient is normally where you walk from inland up to the sea wall (coastal path).

There are large car parks either end of the Nature Reserve in Keyhaven and next to the Lymington yacht clubs. There is also enough width in Maiden Lane and Lower Woodside to park along the road and at the end of Pennington Lane there is an unofficial parking area for about 8 to 10 cars.

The whole of the coastal path from Lymington to Keyhaven is now said to be accessible to people in wheelchairs or with buggies. All 3 gates (the narrowest of which is 0.9m wide) have accessible handles. The surface is compacted gravel, mostly flat and generally 1.5m wide.

There are public toilets including an accessible toilet in the car park at Keyhaven (hi-tech and modern) and in Bath Road car park by the Lymington yacht clubs.
