A walk around Lymington

Captains Row
In Captains Row was a girls school run by a Mrs Young in 1803.

An advertisement found for the school showed:
Ages four–six years 6/- per quarter; six-nine years 8/- per quarter; nine years 9/- per quarter; plus writing extra 7/- per quarter; embroidery and print work included for 9/-.

A footnote states “strictest attention is paid to their morals”.
