A walk around Lymington

A view looking back over the Solent to the hills (Compton Down) on the Isle of Wight.
Just on the other side of the marshes (in the main picture) the fishermen have their cuttlefish traps.
Also in this area are oyster beds, once one of the largest in the country, but in recent years they have been overfished. In June 2012 a prehistoric oyster was trawled up by fishermen in the Solent, its huge fossilised shell measured seven inches wide.
