Colwell Bay is a popular sand and shingle beach and it is said to be one of the Island's cleanest beaches. Watersports is a popular activity in the bay.

Local info: the promenade continues from Colwell Bay to Totland Bay and although cycling is prohibited, everbody does cycle along the promenade.

On the promenade is Captains Cabin Cafe, Crusoes Cafe and a well stocked shop.

Ferry: The Lymington to Yarmouth passenger and car ferry, Wightlink, takes about 30 minutes to make the crossing to Yarmouth, Isle of Wight.

Parking: Colwell Chine Road car park is next to the beach holds about 40 cars, 2 for disabled use. Postcode PO40 9NP

Bus: The number 7 Southern Vectis bus from Yarmouth stops near the beach.
